Man Fatally Stabbed in Violent Attack at Ejisu.

A tragic incident unfolded in the Tikrom BaroÉ” area of the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region, where a 25-year-old man, Douglas Atta Panyin, was fatally stabbed while attempting to mediate a dispute.

The altercation reportedly began as a disagreement between a woman and a boy, escalating into a physical confrontation. Douglas, who was nearby, stepped in to de-escalate the situation, leading to the parties temporarily going their separate ways.

However, the boy allegedly returned later with a group of friends who attacked and fatally stabbed Douglas. His twin brother, Douglas Atta Kakra, confirmed the incident, revealing that the Ejisu police have arrested some suspects as part of their investigations.

This incident adds to a worrying trend of stabbing cases in recent months. On Friday, August 30, 2024, another stabbing shocked the community when Eric Obeng, a respected driver and Station Master at the Asuom Lorry Station, was brutally attacked and stabbed in the head. Despite medical efforts at the University of Ghana Medical Center, Eric succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community in mourning.

Police arrested a suspect in connection with Eric’s case as investigations continued. These violent incidents have left residents expressing outrage and grief, calling for enhanced security and swift justice.
